The XF105 and XF100 function Canon 10x HD zoom lens with a zoom range of 35mm 30.4mm – 304mm, the image processor DIGIC DV III, an infrared function which allows the capture of HD video in conditions with shooting little ambient light to zero and 3.5 inch LCD screen.
They also include built-in functions to assist in the production of 3-D, including lens shift OIS to help align two or XF100 XF105 optical cameras and a focal length guide to display the zoom position of each camera relative to the other, and calibrating the zoom range.
These compact camcorders have two professional XLR inputs for external audio sources, and a stereo microphone. The XF105 model will also get the industry standard for HD-SDI and Genlock In / SMPTE time code (in / out) terminal. Canon XF105 and XF100 will be published in Q1 2011.
Canon has announced two new XF Series compact professional camcorders, the XF105 and XF100, which are the smallest camera manufacturer of professional camcorders.
Two of them are equipped with Canon’s Full HD 1920 × 1080 image sensor and uses the CMIS XF Canon codec, which is an “MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec for exceptional image quality High Definition full of non-linear editing (NLE) system compatibility and effective, robust workflow”.
